Registered Psychotherapist

Parisa Nia is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She provides psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and couples who are struggling with anxiety disorders (including trauma and OCD) and mood disorders, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, weight management issues, personality disorders, psychosis, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, ADHD, relationship issues, addictions, and chronic pain.

She values flexible and integrated evidence-based treatment approaches, and primarily practices from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Attachment-based theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Humanistic Therapy modalities. Parisa strives to provide a culturally sensitive, non-judgemental, supportive, and safe environment for each client where they can comfortably bring up their individual challenges.

She completed her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from York University.
