Sofija Lavrinsek, M.A.

Sofija (she/they) provides assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, and life stressors (e.g., relationship issues, life transitions). She works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework and is committed to creating a non-judgmental and safe space to help clients explore their goals and work towards creating a meaningful life.

Sofija is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has completed clinical training at St. Michael’s Hospital, the Ontario Correctional Institute, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. She is currently working with the HIV Prevention Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University on a study examining the efficacy of a novel integrated intervention, which combines CBT for social anxiety with HIV risk-reduction counselling.

Ms. Lavrinsek is currently supervised by Dr. Noah Lazar.
