Chad Vachon, M.A.
Therapist
Chad is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University who provides evidence-based psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, emotion regulation difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. He believes that effective therapy begins with a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, where clients feel understood and empowered to work toward meaningful change.
Chad draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. His background in both psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment provides him with a comprehensive understanding of how thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and cognitive functioning contribute to achieving your goals.
Through this lens, he helps clients understand how to utilize their strengths and values to overcome their difficulties and foster resilience. Whether clients are seeking practical coping strategies, greater emotional resilience, or deeper insight into longstanding patterns, Chad works collaboratively to help them develop lasting skills and move toward a richer, more fulfilling life.
