Christie MacLeod provides assessment and treatment for adults with a range of concerns including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, attention/memory challenges (including ADHD), emotional regulation problems, and sleep difficulty/insomnia. She works from a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) framework, and incorporates techniques from dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) to meet clients where they are at in terms of needs and abilities. She strives to create a compassionate, non-judgemental, and client-centred therapeutic relationship to best meet client goals and improve quality of life.

Christie is completing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University, with a research focus on how depression can affect brain structure and cognition. She has completed clinical training at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (in the Mood Disorders clinic and Neuropsychology clinic) and the Sunnybrook Hospital Neuropsychology Service, where she developed skills in assessment of psychiatric/neurological conditions and evidence-based treatments to improve well-being.

Ms. Christie MacLeod is currently supervised by Dr. Reena Chopra and Dr. Daniel Peluso.
